On December 12, 2012 the Governor of Hawaii, Mr. Neil Abercrombie visited DewPoint Systems sea water grape demonstration located at the Gateway Center at the Natural Energy Laboratory of Hawaii. Mr. Ken Love (pictured with the hat) explained to the Governor the thermal process of the chilling the roots and 24/7 reliable irrigation from condensation. The Governor mentioned that "it is this type of innovative technology thinking that Hawaii has to share with the world". Mr. Ken Love is also very interested in potential of growing the seawater grapes at NELHA. Ken was awarded a Western Sustainable Agriculture and Extension Grant (W SARE) to investigate the potential of growing several grape varieties in Hawaii.
